In commercial terms the Port of Mazatlan serves the states of the Northern Economic Corridor (SINALOA, NAYARIT, DURANGO, ZACATECAS, CHIHUAHUA, COAHUILA, NUEVO LEÓN, TAMAULIPAS). Additionally, there is a link as a provider of supplies to the peninsula of Baja California. In the hinterland of the port are the main products and sub-products from agriculture, fisheries, forestry and mineral, bound for major world markets.
