Service of Lighthouse in the port of Mazatlan, consists of a lighthouse located in the Cerro del Creston, 157 m high, where the service aids to navigation is provided, consisting of permanent guard of the communication system via radio VHF marine band, and location indicator light of the port, using a rotating optical glass prisms 30 nautical mile range, operating with commercial energy and 2 motor-generators.
A landfall buoy with flashes of white light signal Rakkon. It also has 23 buoys in the navigation channel 9 and 6 situation beacons beacons Leading first, second and third front and rear direction.
In the main channel of access from the entrance to the turning basin, the marine signaling consists of 9 buoys channel (floats with flashing light) and 8 beacons situation with flashing light, which are placed in prominent places on the coast (in spring, dukes, tips hills, etc.).
The secondary access channel to the pier to the fishing pier is bordered by buoys channel 12 and one situation beacon light flashing which is placed on an island at the center of the navigation channel.
Also, the navigation channel is sectioned by three directions of threading referred to the channel axis, defined by the anterior and posterior beacons:
