The event took place at 9:00 a.m. at the Convention Center where it was announced that, in Mazatlán, Sinaloa for the first time in its history, the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) will celebrate in Mazatlán in 2023 their global meeting.

The main executives of the shipping companies will participate as well as officials and tourist from all around the world.

María del Rosario Torres Noriega, Secretary of Tourism in Sinaloa pointed out that this will put Mazatlan on the map, bringing benefits such as the promotion with the main shipping companies in the world.

Rear Admiral Mariel Aquileo Ancona Infanzón mentioned the progress of the dredging of the navigation channel and at the same time the plans for the construction of the new Cruise Terminal begins next year, as well as the beginning of the construction of the Lighthouse Zip Line towards the Mazatlan Observatory.

The Secretary of Tourism mention that administration is working on visitors' activities so the tourist can have more unforgettable experiences.

This event will require a lot effort that will improve the arrival of cruise ships in the future.
